Il 75% degli studenti ha “sempre” o “spesso” episodi di stress causati dalla scuola, il 44% di loro si sente inadeguato e insicuro a causa dell’ipercompetizione a scuola che rende più difficile imparare al 17% dei partecipanti. La metà dei ragazze e ragazzi vivrebbe la scuola con meno stress se ci fosse meno carico di studio a casa, e c’è chi chiede più attività extracurricolari e spazi di aggregazione. E’ quanto emerge dal sondaggio “Scuola e Benessere: Oltre l’ipercompetizione e l’omologazione”, un evento nato dalla collaborazione tra Unisona Live e l’Unicef, patrocinato dal Comune di Milano e dal ministero dell’Istruzione e del Merito dedicato alle scuole secondarie di secondo grado e dell’ultimo anno delle secondarie di primo grado. La partecipazione gratuita degli studenti di tutta Italia è stata garantita grazie al sostegno di Fondazione Conad ETS. Hanno partecipato oltre 25.500 studenti, studentesse e docenti, collegati online in diretta streaming, che hanno condiviso uno spazio di riflessione e dibattito sul tema cruciale del benessere psicosociale degli adolescenti nell’ambiente scolastico. L’incontro, condotto da Sofia Viscardi nel ruolo di moderatrice, ha coinvolto esperte dell’UNICEF in un dialogo con l’attrice Ludovica Bizzaglia, i giovani membri dello Youth Advisory Board (YAB) e la psicologa Paola Versari. “Il successo dell’evento “Scuola e Benessere: Oltre l’ipercompetizione e l’omologazione” testimonia l’importanza e l’urgenza di affrontare il tema del benessere psicosociale degli adolescenti nell’ambito educativo, e conferma l’impegno di Unisona Live e Unicef nel promuovere un’educazione inclusiva e orientata al benessere degli studenti. Su questa priorità siamo impegnati in prima linea in un programma finanziato dalla Commissione Europea che accompagnerà per due anni le autorità italiane nel migliorare il coordinamento tra i settori sanitario, sociale e scolastico”, dichiara Nicola Dell’Arciprete, coordinatore risposta in Italia, Ufficio Unicef per l’Europa e l’Asia Centrale.
