Sei ore infinite fatte di iperboli, luoghi comuni, stereotipi, con un Amadeus ex machina di uno show che evita con assoluta naturalezza ogni guizzo, un Daniele Piombi con la giacca luccicante capace di esser piatto in ogni sua esposizione anche lessicale (a un certo punto, dopo aver dato fondo alla sua riserva di “grande”, “straordinario”, “magnifico” confessa: «Ho finito gli aggettivi»). Ho provato, ma non sono riuscito a trovare una giustificazione di cotanto successo. So solo che ho visto uno dei più brutti ed estenuanti festival della mia vita, un tripudio di inutilità, tranne che per quella fabbrica della musica che ha trovato in Amadeus e nel suo festival il riferimento centrale: il luogo dove confezionare, lanciare, consumare idoli con la data di scadenza incorporata senza alcuna preoccupazione di dover, quanto meno, sentire l’esigenza di salvare la faccia sul fronte della qualità. Quando presenta i cantanti, Amadeus snocciola numeri di consumo, ben sapendo che quello è il metro con cui ha scelto la sua legione formata da miliziani tenuti insieme da un filo comune: appartenere a un giro commerciale chiuso che va dagli autori, agli editori, ai network radiofonici (che da quest’anno hanno anche diritto di voto), ai promoter. E, così, prende largo una tipologia di canzone a pronta presa, come la colla. Ha ragione Ernesto Assante su Repubblica a notare che la tipologia della «canzone sanremese ha subito una mutazione”, la caccia è al tormentone, a una tipologia che punta sul ritornello immediato ripetuto più volte possibile. E’ la sublimazione della canzone che imita se stessa, oltre a imitare tutto ciò che già si è ascoltato (i plagi sono un lusso antico). La differenza, fra un pezzo e l’altro, non sta nella sostanza ma nella forma di chi canta, nell’abbigliamento, nel look, nei capelli, nelle creste in testa, nei tatuaggi, negli orecchini o negli anelli. Una deriva che va imponendo il modello coatto (Er Piotta appare un archetipo). Con Amadeus, Sanremo è passato dal trionfo del nazional-popolare al tripudio del nazional-coatto. Uno scivolamento senza ostacoli, che ha dalla sua la debolezza della stampa incapace di reagire, sostanzialmente a rimorchio degli avvenimenti, soprattutto i giornali (una volta venivano chiamati i giornaloni). Sono stati perfino retrocessi nelle gerarchie (a suo tempo sacre) della sala stampa dell’Ariston, relegati nelle file di rincalzo mentre nei banchi più in evidenza siedono siti e radio. Non vengono nemmeno tenuti in conto, ai fini dello show che ormai dilaga incurante delle chiusure delle tipografie. Aldo Grasso sul Corriere sostiene che Amadeus è meglio come direttore artistico che come conduttore. Non è difficile essere d’accordo perché la sua forza come conduttore è di essere trasparente (a parte il luccichio delle giacche). Ma, come direttore artistico, porta sicuramente la responsabilità di aver rotto qualsiasi argine puntando tutto sulla quantità, perfino nel numero delle canzoni scelte. Metterne trenta in gara è una ammissione di incapacità di scegliere. Anche se questa incapacità ha poi il suo tornaconto: più cantanti vengono esposti in vetrina, più serate verranno organizzate durante l’anno musicale. Quanto alle qualità di organizzatore di show, basta pensare che in quelle sei ore di spettacolo della prima serata, l’unica ventata di freschezza sono stati i pochi minuti dello sketch in cui Fiorello è salito sul palco, giocando sul suo doppio. Il saggio Rosario sa benissimo che, nel ruolo che si è ritagliato, quello dell’incursore che c’è e non c’è (la sua specialità) può essere solo vincitore. Esattamente il contrario di quanto accaduto a Marco Mengoni, a disagio nel fare qualcosa che non è, lo showman: disastroso il lunghissimo siparietto in cui si è presentato addobbato come un albero di Natale. C’era un’unica buona idea, quella del preserbacino, ma avrebbe potuto usarlo in maniera meno ortodossa e non solo etero (proprio lui). Tornando alle canzoni, non c’è dubbio che la colata lavica di trenta nuovi pezzi sia difficile da giudicare al primo impatto. Le orecchie comunque non perdonano l’uso imperante dell’autotune (che, a parte correggere le intonazioni, non c’è dubbio che eserciti il suo strapotere omologante), le esplicite scopiazzature (Daniele Silvestri dovrebbe essersi riconosciuto in qualche modo nel pezzo dei The Kolors), la faccia tosta nell’accaparrarsi di temi delicati (i La Sad), la retorica del Volo, l’inutilità di mandare allo sbaragente come Alfa, Il Tre, Maninni, Gazzelle. I migliori? Mannoia, Bertè, Diodato, Ghali. Ma come al solito vanno riascoltati.
